Jonah’s New Beginning
Jonah is asked to go to Nineveh with an important message, but he travels in the other direction. His journey becomes difficult. The story tells of a great fish, a prayer, and a chance to begin again.
When Jonah reaches Nineveh, the people respond to the warning and change their ways. God shows mercy. Jonah still has feelings to work through, and the story asks its listeners to think about compassion.
Rabbi Moose remembers that a mistake need not be our last step. We can stop, ask for help, and choose a better way. Second chances are more meaningful when we use them to change what we do.
