Esther Finds Her Courage

Esther is a queen, and her people face danger. Mordecai sends her a message asking her to help. Esther knows speaking to the king is a serious step, and she needs courage and support.

She asks her community to stand with her, then makes a careful plan. She speaks up about the danger facing the Jewish people.

This gentle preview leaves the frightening details for a conversation with a grown-up. Rabbi Moose focuses on speaking when something is unfair. Children do not have to solve danger themselves. They can tell a trusted grown-up, ask for help, and stand beside a friend. Courage is stronger when people support one another.

For grown-ups: the source and wider story

This is a selective retelling inspired by Esther 4–8. It is not a translation or a complete account. Choose the wider discussion that fits your child.
