Joseph Plans Ahead
Pharaoh has troubling dreams and asks Joseph to help understand them. Joseph explains that years of plenty will be followed by years when food is scarce.
He recommends saving grain during the good years. Joseph is given the work of organizing supplies, so food can be available when the difficult years arrive.
Rabbi Moose likes the quiet wisdom of getting ready. Planning is not the same as worrying about everything. It can mean doing one useful thing now: packing a school bag, saving a little, or checking that everyone has what they need for a trip. When we have plenty, we can also think about how to help others later.
