Miriam’s Song
After the Israelites reach safety on their journey out of Egypt, Miriam takes a timbrel, an instrument like a small hand drum. Other women join her with instruments and dancing.
Miriam leads them in a song of thanks. This short part of a larger story is full of movement, music, and relief after a difficult journey.
Rabbi Moose asks his listeners to think of a moment when they were glad someone helped them. Gratitude does not always need a long speech. It can be a thank-you, a picture, a song, or a gentle clap shared together. When we remember help, we can feel ready to offer help in return.
