A Small Voice Can Help

Moses notices a bush that burns without being used up. He stops to look, and God calls him to help lead the Israelites out of slavery.

Moses has questions and worries. He does not feel ready for such a large task. The story describes help being offered, including the support of his brother Aaron.

Rabbi Moose asks us to notice that uncertainty does not end the conversation. We can say that something feels hard, ask questions, and find someone to work beside us. A new task may begin with a small, careful step. Nobody has to know everything before learning, and asking for support is part of being brave.

For grown-ups: the source and wider story

This is a selective retelling inspired by Exodus 3–4. It is not a translation or a complete account. Choose the wider discussion that fits your child.
