Rebecca at the Well
A traveler arrives at a well with camels. Rebecca comes to draw water, and he asks her for a drink.
Rebecca gives him water. Then she offers to bring water for his camels too. She goes back to the well and draws more, until the thirsty animals have what they need.
Rabbi Moose pauses at that extra trip. Rebecca notices a need beyond the first request. Her kindness asks, in effect, what else might help? We can practice the same careful noticing. A friend may need a chair as well as an invitation. A grown-up carrying groceries may need the door held open. Kindness grows when we pay attention.
